Kelley Crittenden

“I am moved and enriched by the oftentimes profound results of acupuncture. After nearly 20 years in practice I am still in awe of the wonders of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. To gently facilitate the unique healing process of each person ranging from easing physical and emotional pain to facilitating the miracle of birth, it seems the healing powers of these practices are infinite.”

Kelley has had a life long interest in the healing arts.  At the age of 17, she experienced a single acupressure session that solved a chronic woman’s health issue.  From that moment, she was fascinated with Chinese Medicine and it’s incredible healing powers.

10 years later, while studying Shiatsu and Massage she sought out acupuncture treatment, for the first time, to help recover from an emergency surgery. That one acupuncture treatment helped her dramatically. Those two experiences redirected her life. She knew she had to learn the ancient arts of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

After two years studying bodywork she went on to formally learn the discipline of Acupuncture. What has continued to fascinate Kelley is the depth of Chinese Medicine. It is a never-ending source of grace, wonder and knowledge. It can sometimes be miraculous yet often subtle…thus is the richness of it.

Kelley has been in the healing arts since 1992 and practicing Acupuncture full time since 1997. She has operated a private practice without compromise to her values since 1998. She focuses on the mind/body/spirit paradigm treating each person uniquely and holistically. Many of her first patients have continued their wellness treatments from Kelley since that beginning. She is also on Andrew Weil’s Integrative Medicine referral list.

Her education includes a B.A. from New York University (with honors); a graduate of Swedish Institute (NYC); and a Masters in Acupuncture from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute (Maryland University of Integrated Health). She feels blessed and honored to be able to work with others helping them achieve health and well being. Kelley is State and Nationally certified.

Kelley is exited to be part of ilumina to help facilitate the miracle of birth.
