As the seasons change, it’s the perfect time to give your immune system some extra support before cold and flu season kicks into high gear. Autumn naturally invites us to slow down, go inward, and follow the rhythm of shorter days and longer nights. Prioritizing rest, especially getting to bed earlier, is a simple way to align with this seasonal shift.

At our clinic, we’ve long offered an “acupuncture flu shot” style treatment that helps fortify your immune system. Now, we’re excited to introduce another option: Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy (APIT) with Tri-Immune Boost — an intramuscular injection that can be administered at specific acupuncture points often used in our immune-support treatments.

What Is Tri-Immune Boost?

Tri-Immune Boost is a powerful blend of antioxidants and a vital mineral that work together to strengthen your body’s natural defenses. Here’s what’s inside:

Glutathione – Often called the “master antioxidant,” glutathione is essential for immune defense. It protects your cells and supports the optimal functioning of lymphocytes, which are key to fighting off illness.

Zinc Sulfate – A vital mineral that plays a role in countless immune processes. Adequate zinc levels can help your body combat infections more effectively and even support wound healing.

Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) – A classic immune booster. Vitamin C helps both your innate and adaptive immune systems function at their best, while also acting as a potent antioxidant.

When Should You Get It?

With school back in session and holiday travel around the corner, now is an ideal time to give your immune system a boost. Many of our patients choose Tri-Immune injections when:

They’re about to travel

They feel like they’re coming down with something

They’re actively fighting off an illness

Everyone in the household seems to be passing germs around

You can add the injection to your regular acupuncture session or book it as a standalone treatment.

A Fertility-Friendly Bonus

Since fertility is such an important part of our practice, we can’t help but highlight the added benefits of these nutrients for reproductive health. Many patients preparing for egg retrieval are encouraged to take antioxidants like glutathione and resveratrol to optimize egg quality. Glutathione has also shown potential to improve both egg and sperm health. Zinc, while famous for male fertility, also plays a valuable role in egg health.

Of course, it’s fine (and encouraged!) to continue your regular supplements containing zinc and glutathione. But for an added boost, injection therapy offers a direct, highly effective way to support both your immune and reproductive health.
